Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you agree to them; nothing optional is stored before you make a choice.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off:

• cc_cookie: Records your cookie choice so we do not ask again. Stored for 182 days in your browser only; we keep no server-side copy.
• Session cookies: Named better-auth.session_token (and its __Secure- variants). These keep you signed in.
• Sign-in cookies: Short-lived values used to complete Google sign-in securely. They are discarded once sign-in finishes.

Analytics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. The Google tag is not loaded at all until you accept, and we do not use Google's advertising features. Google acts as our processor and may process this data in the United States.

• _ga: Distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_40FVH9Q4XP: Persists session state for our Analytics property. Expires after 2 years.

Marketing (only with your consent)

We use MailerLite, our email provider, to occasionally show a form inviting you to join our newsletter. MailerLite's script is not loaded at all until you accept. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, so Google also receives data about your visit when the form is shown. If you sign up through the form, MailerLite receives the details you enter so it can send you the newsletter.

• mailerlite_forms_shown_*: Records that the newsletter form was shown, so it is not shown again too soon. Expires after 5 weeks.
• mailerlite_forms_submitted_*: Records that you signed up through the form, so it is not shown again. Expires after 27 years.
• _GRECAPTCHA: Set by Google on google.com when the form loads reCAPTCHA, to tell people from spam bots. Expires after 6 months.

Browser storage we treat as functional

Some exercises save your progress in your browser so you do not lose work when navigating between steps. These local progress caches use the keys cookbook-demo-state, marketing-campaign-state, and placement-attempt. When you use generation or assessment features, relevant exercise content and answers are also sent to our servers to generate results or score your assessment.

Embedded video

Course pages embed video hosted on Cloudflare Stream. Playing a video may cause Cloudflare to set its own storage in your browser in order to deliver it.

Your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy to refuse as it is to accept. Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page, or change your cookie settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a refusal of analytics and marketing cookies automatically.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
